One of these days….
I’ll get this out on the last day of the month! lol This was a hard one, because I have so many new faves and have discovered so much AWESOME stuff lately!!! So much in fact, I can’t wait for my December favorites. :) Last month, I couldn’t live without:
Deborah Lippmann nail polish in Fashion, $17
I know what you’re thinking. For $17 this nail polish better paint itself!!! Expensive….yes. Worth it? YAAAAASSSS! It applies like buttaaa! The smoothest application I’ve ever had in a nail polish. It goes on so soft and smooth it’s ridiculous. I think everyone should own at least one bottle. It makes painting your nails feel luxurious. Oh, and she has some glorious nudes (including this one) and glitters.
Marc Jacobs Woman Eau de Parfume Spray, 1.7 oz $76 ; 3.4 oz $96
I don’t know what it is about Mr. Jacobs, but lately I’ve been in love with everything that he does. This fragrance being at the top of the list for me right now. A saleswoman at the Marc Jacobs store recommended the lotion to me. I tried it out and low and behold, I couldn’t get the scent out of my mind. Little did I know, tracking down the lotion for this is dang near impossible. So thank God for whoever came up with the gift set concept. More than anything, I’m shocked that I’m in love with a floral. I usually go for the more musky, woodsy scents…which it has a wee bit of.
Notes:
- Top: gardenia, bergamot, aqua mist.
- Middle: violet gardenia, jasmine, white pepper, honeysuckle.
- Bottom: blonde woods, musk.
Henri Bendel Gold Tone Metal Faceted Gray Resin Pyramid Stud Earrings, $48-$88
I could wear these EVERYDAY. And I pretty much have since I got them. They’re amazing quality, complimentary to almost all my jewelry (especially my two Michael Kors watches) and comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, they don’t sell these anymore. However, Henri Bendel always has classic studs for sale on their website or in a store near you! Make sure to scout for a sale like I did.
M.A.C. Ruby Woo, $15
Lately, I’ve been feeling bolder than usual. When I want to feel high-fashion and don’t mind the extra attention, I slick on M.A.C.’s Ruby Woo for instant glam. It’s a universally flattering shade on all skin tones and a must-have in any woman’s makeup collection. Word to the wise (if you didn’t already know) Ruby Woo is extremely….EXTREMELY drying. Exfoliate and moisturize before you wear this or you won’t look glam, you’ll just look plain gross. More than anything, I love this because it’s a vibrant matte shade. So for someone like myself who has full lips, it’s perfection.
S-Factor Diamond Dreams Shampoo and Conditioner, price varies
I first heard about these products from Elle Fowler, but when I looked up the prices I quickly dismissed trying them. Until….I ran into them at my local T.J.Maxx. I love the smell and they work great with my hair. My only gripe is it’s difficult to get product out of the unnecessarily bulky shaped bottles.
Carol’s Daughters Marguerite’s Magic restorative cream hairdress, $17
I layer this over my leave-in conditioner to add extra moisture and help seal my hair and reduce frizz. It helps to restore my strands and gives me a healthy shine when I blow dry and flat-iron my hair. It never weighs down my hair and personally I prefer the smell of this one to it’s thicker relative, Carol’s Daughter Healthy Hair Butter.
Orange Is The New Black, $7.99 monthly Netflix subscription
Thanks to Black and Sexy TV on YouTube, I ran into an spoof of the show. Curiosity got the best of me and I watched the pilot. Fast forward to a whole day wasted, and I’m hooked! It’s just as hilarious as Weeds and even more controversial. Piper seems like an average American goody-two-shoes, until her sorted past lands her in prison. The series follows her adjustment to penitentiary life and her roller coaster relationships with her current fiance and ex-girlfriend (who’s in the same prison btw). By the end of the first season you be singing, “Chocolate and vanilla swiiiiiirrrrllllll……” LOL!! (Don’t worry. After you watch that episode, you’ll be laughing with me.)
Classic Guava Hard Candy- 12.3 oz, $5.49
These micro-mini candies pack a HUGE punch! I’m addicted to these little things. I discovered them at one of my favorite Thai restaurant in Atlanta called Spoon (my boyfriend and I are OBSESSED). They are ridiculously delicious and if you love guava you’ll be in tropical heaven. I’m actually popping one in my mouth as we speak :) If you’re ever in the Atlanta area and in the mood for some AUTHENTIC Thai food, head over there and tell them J.Clarice sent you!
P.S.- Try the pineapple fried rice…OMG. It’s topped with fresh veggies and cashews. You can get it with chicken, ground chicken, pork, beef, shrimp or lump crab!!!
What were your favorites last month?? Do share :)
